SISSEL EDELBO KIMONO nr.7

This long pocket mix kimono is a part of our ZERO WASTE concept. This one size long pocket kimono has an oversized look and it fits all sizes. It is super easy to wear and you can wrap it around with thin feminine belt or you can use it open. Mix the kimono with jeans and dresses. This style has a pocket on right side, which gives a nice look.

For this kimono we have up-cycled a sari that has been used by an Indian woman as a saree wrapped around her body. Her spirit is still in this piece of fabric.

NOTE!
All of our garments have, before they were re-designed been used by an Indian woman. This story shows it self in that there will be small tracks like tiny loose threads or tiny stains on the fabric. We in SISSEL EDELBO love the story as well as the flaws – we hope you will as well and let the story continue.

Since the fabric is re-used fabric, we cannot inform what the total composition of the fabric is.

Garment Measurements (ONE SIZE):

  • Chest width: 144 cm
  • Full front length: 107 cm
  • Full back length: 122 cm

SISSEL EDELBO KIMONO nr.7

THE CORE OF SISSEL EDELBO IS UP-CYCLING OF VINTAGE SARIS AND A LOVE FOR INDIAN CULTURE. BUYING OUR CLOTHES IS SUPPORTING A SUSTAINABLE, VIBRANT FUTURE FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY AND THE WORLD. EACH OF OUR PIECES TELLS THE STORY OF THE INDIAN HERITAGE AND THE AMAZING WOMEN, ALL DRESSED IN THEIR TRADITIONAL VIBRANT SARIS.

We mix print and mystery with a simple nordic cut, so our customers can choose sustainable clothes and enable the story of the saris to continue. The saris are all unique and different in both weaving and quality. For us it is essential that they are up-cycled, and we put great effort and joy in selecting the most beautiful sari in pattern, color and quality.

SISSEL EDELBO HAS EXISTED SINCE 2004. THE TWO VISIONARY OWNERS OF THE BRAND ARE JEANNE SISSEL THOMSEN AND CHRISTINA EDELBO PETERSEN.

Their vision is to produce unique pieces made from beautiful vintage saris and adding new life and use to a traditional cultural fabric through modern cuts and silhouettes. The reuse of these antique sari fabrics is also a way of production that is friendly to the environment. Every single sari used in the SISSEL EDELBO collections is handpicked to procure just the right prints and colours for the garments.
